Partnership is the essence of how Bernard Savage Bespoke Kitchens work with you. To that end there are five stages in creating your dream kitchen:

Stage One: Initial Meeting

Bernard will arrange a personal visit to discuss what you want and to assess the available space, the interior decoration and the architectural style of the house.

Stage Two: Design

Bernard’s skills as a craftsman and his firm’s experience with bespoke furniture means that rather than trying to shoehorn pre-manufactured units into your kitchen, he will design something that makes full use of the space available.  As part of the initial design he will also advise on the materials he intends to use together with examples of appliances (stoves, ovens, cookers) fittings (handles, taps etc) and worktops (granite, hardwood).

Stage Three: Agreement

The initial design being complete it is left with you to study and, where desired, to make any amendments. Where necessary, further meetings are undertaken to ensure that you are entirely happy with your design.

Stage Four: Manufacture

The Final Agreement having been reached the manufacture of your kitchen in our own workshop will begin. We only use natural solid pine - a strong material with a long lifespan - and ensure that it is procured from a sustainable source. We then employ a blend of traditional methods and modern techniques to produce your hand crafted product. During this manufacturing stage your existing kitchen will be removed and remedial work (decorating, plumbing, flooring, plastering and electrics) will be carried out.

Stage Five: Installation & Commissioning

Using a specialist team of craftsmen your kitchen will be installed and then painted.  This is the most important stage both in terms of quality and being respectful of your personal space in order to limit the level of disturbance and irritation. When satisfied that everything is in place we will conduct a thorough quality check to ensure that all the units and appliances are in perfect working order.

Your dream kitchen is now a reality. A unique space in which to relax, enjoy and perhaps hold that occasional party.
